Two Day Corporate Workshops

Sarthak Foundation organized two corporate workshops on 23rd and 24th January 2023 at Radha Kamal Mukherjee Hall. The program was supported by Dell Technologies and organized in collaboration with the Department of Social Work, University of Lucknow. Undergraduate girls studying in different colleges of Lucknow participated in the two-day program.
The day began with a warm exchange of greetings. Ms. Bhawna welcomed all the participants to the two-day corporate workshop. She explained the objectives of the workshop to make them aware about the activities ahead. The event was organized in collaboration with the Department of Social Work. She invited Prof. Anoop Kumar Bhartiya, Head of Department, Social Work Department, University of Lucknow for lamp lighting ceremony. A bouquet was also presented to him as a token of thankfulness. After that he addressed the students where he shared his experience and valuable inputs to help in their career path. He emphasized the importance of doing internships and getting involved in extracurricular activities besides academics. With motivational lines he ended his speech.Mr. Achintya gave a presentation on “Interview Questions” which covered commonly asked questions in interviews. The presentation emphasized upon the importance of those questions. He also spoke about ideal answers as response.

The session was very well perceived by the girls as they were listening attentively and noted down important things in their notepad.
He then briefed about the next trainer centric activity. He instructed the trainers to distribute hard copies of most commonly asked questions and told them to help their girls fill in their answer.

Trainers picked up the questions one by one and started discussing their answers with girls which they wrote aligning with their resumes. This exercise helped the girls realise mistakes they were committing in interviews. After this the girls were invited for brunch.
In the last session, trainers helped the girls in correcting their resumes. They also told them the common mistakes they found in their resumes. They were given a printout of resumes which they had to carry with them the next day.
The day was wrapped up after this session. Girls were quite happy as they shared that the day was quite fruitful for them. They agreed to take these learning for next interviews.

Second day-
Day began with a formal welcome and sharing about the day ahead. Ms. Bhawna introduced the “Interview Hurdle Race”, an interesting interview race between two teams. She divided the girls into two teams and explained about the game.

Instructions for Girls:
• Both the team will have equal number of participants.The race will start at the same time.
• There will be three levels- A, B & C. In each level, participants have to face few questions. With each level, the difficulty level of questions increases.
• They can move to the next level, only when the interviewer says so else, they will again have to reappear.
Instructions for Trainers:
• Motivate their team to perform better.
• Ensure to go through the Interview Hurdle Race questions mentioned below.
• In Level A, ask three to four questions, and not all ten. In Level B, you can choose 2 situational based questions. In Level C, please ensure that you are able to create an environment of stress for the candidates.
• All trainers will receive a sheet to assess their interviewees. Use the same sheet to mark the eligibility for the next round.
• There is a format for resume writing. Take help of that for correcting the resumes of the participants.
• Ensure that the participants have both hard and editable, soft copy with them.

Once “Interview Hurdle Race” was complete the day was called off thanking the girls for their participation.
