GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL COMMITTEE

Introduction
The Grievance Redressal Cell has been formed primarily for the purpose of solving the grievances of the students which may arise during their stay in the college. The Cell has been set up to ensure an effective solution to the student’s grievances of academic and administrative nature whether affecting them directly or indirectly, either individually or as a group. If the grievance of any person is not found appropriate for initiating the procedure of redressal, the Grievance Cell shall inform the person or persons by clearly explaining the reason of rejection of complaints, requirements and suggestions.

Vision
The Grievance Redressal Cell desires to develop and maintain a conducive and unprejudiced educational environment in the college so that each and every student feels related and motivated to realize his dream.

Mission
The mission of the Grievance Redressal Cell is to provide a congenial environment in which the teachers and students can excel in their area of interest without any hassle and contribute their maximum in realizing the vision of the college

We achieve this by:
 Ensuring strife free atmosphere in the College through promoting cordial Student-Student relationship and Student-teacher relationship etc.
 Supporting those students who have been unable to avail the services offered by the College.
 Developing a proper framework to resolve grievances of students and other stakeholders.
 Identifying functional and procedural flaws in the administration of various departments and correcting it.

Structure:
The GRC shall have 5 members from different departments of the college including 1 member from among the students. The members shall be nominated by the Principal of the college in consultation with the competent authority. The GRC shall have 1 Chairperson, 3 Faculty members and 1 student representative.

Objectives:

The main objectives of the Grievance Redressal Cell are:

 To develop a proper framework to resolve grievances of students and other stakeholders.
 To provide the students with effective and efficient resource for solving their problems
 To identify functional and procedural flaws in the administration of various departments and to find solutions.
 To support those students who have been unable to avail the services offered by the College.
 To maintain a fair, unbiased and consistent system for redressal of various issues faced by the students.
 Upholding the dignity of the college by ensuring strife free atmosphere in the College through promoting cordial Student-Student relationship and Student-Teacher relationship etc.
 Encouraging the Students to express their grievances/problems freely and frankly, without any fear of being victimized.
 Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited in and outside the institution. Any violation of ragging and disciplinary rules should be urgently brought to the notice of the Principal.

Scope:-
The Committee deals with Grievances received in writing from the students about any of the following matters:-
 Academic Matters: Related to the timely issue of duplicate Mark-sheets, Transfer Certificates, Conduct Certificates or other examination related matters.
 Financial Matters: Related to dues and payments for various items from the fees, library,hostels etc.
 Other Matters: Related to certain misgivings about conditions of sanitation, canteen food,availability of transport, recreation activities etc.

Procedure
The Grievance Redressal Cell will meet once every semester. All the grievances submitted are
discussed by the members and every possible attempt is made to resolve the issues. Till February
2020, 9 such meetings have been conducted and decisions on various issues have been taken.
