RANGOLI COMPETITION on ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS

Road safety has become a major concern in recent times due to the rising number of accidents and fatalities on roads across the country. To raise awareness about road safety Goel Institute of Higher Studies Mahavidyalaya, Lucknow on 12th Feb, 2024 hosted a Rangoli Competition on Road Safety under the aegis of “Road Safety Club”, showcasing the creativity and commitment of college students towards promoting responsible and safe road behaviour. The event aimed to raise awareness about road safety issues, educate the community on best practices, and encourage active participation in fostering a safer road environment. The rangolis conveyed powerful messages on topics like following traffic rules, avoiding drunk driving, importance of seat belts and helmets, avoiding distractions like mobile phones while driving, and road safety for pedestrians. Students also depicted the consequences of reckless driving through their designs. 11 students from BVA First Year participated in the competition. Ms. Arushi Agarwal was the winner followed by Ms. Kirti Maurya and Ms. Aaradhya Srivastava. The competition was a huge success in encouraging students to express their thoughts on road safety in an artistic manner. The event helped spread awareness on good practices for road safety in an engaging way.
