One Day Seminar on Commodity Market in India

Department of Commerce (Honors), Goel Institute of Higher Studies Mahavidyalaya organized a seminar on 10th January 2023, the theme was “Commodities Market in India”. The programme started with the welcome address by Mrs Shivani Kalra (HOD, Commerece) where she introduced the guest speaker Prof. Uttam Kumar (Professional Trainer & Coach of Financial Hygiene from Motilal Nehru National Institute Of Technology) and honoured him with a memento and a bouquet given by Ms Jayantika Yadav. The opening remarks were about a fact where he mentioned that the net worth of an average businessman is five times more than the average net worth of an employee with this he emphasized the fact that how entrepreneurship is going to be the future of India. He also mentioned about an emerging concept of FIRE (Financial Independence Retirement Early) which is a very usual practice in foreign countries. He further mentioned about professionally run online multi-commodity market, National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX/the Exchange) is dedicated to revolutionising India’s agriculture industry. NCDEX is India’s largest agricultural derivatives exchange which is regulated by SEBI (Securities Exchange Board of India).The session wrapped by the vote of thanks to the students and the guest speaker by Ms Jayantika Yadav.
