Cultural and Educational Tour

Goel Institute of Higher Studies Mahavidyalaya organized a Cultural and Educational Tour to Bara Imambara on the occasion of World Tourism Day. Around 40 students and 4 faculty members participated in the tour. The Bara Imambara is one of the most famous monuments of Lucknow . Students learned that it was built by Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula of Awadh. Guide informed the students that central arched chamber is the largest arched hall in the world with no beams or pillars supporting the ceiling. Imambara is famous for maze, known as Bhul Bhulaiya , which is located on the upper floor of the monument. He said that there are 1024 ways to get inside the maze but only 2 to come out. It was informative and enjoyable experience for all of us.
