One Day Industrial Visit at Banas(Amul) Dairy Plant, Lucknow

Goel Institute of Higher Studies Mahavidyalaya organised an industrial visit on a date of 28th December 2022 for 41 students in the 5th semester of BBA & B.Com(Hons.) at Banas (Amul) Dairy, Sultanpur Road, Lucknow to understand the actual industrial application of operations management and supply chain management. The student arrived at BANAS (AMUL) DAIRY around 11:00 AM. After that students gathered at the front gate and visited various sections of AMUL. At first, Mr. J.K. Upadhyaya, (Admin. Incharge) nicely gave an introduction to the company profile and its present functioning in the dairy industry for different milk products. In the meantime, students also met with Mr. Dinesh C. Chaudhary, (Plant Head), and gave a small token of gift from our institute to him. After that, he handed over the students to Mr, Praveen Chaudhary, (HR/Admin. Supervisor). who is one of the members of Technical team, has explained the automation of dairy through a presentation After that the students visited 4 different sections of the AMUL Dairy Plant:

Butter plant, where the students were informed of butter production in AMUL.

Milk plant, where the students visited manufacturing as well as packing and dispatching functions of AMUL
Refrigeration Unit, where students were getting knowledge about refrigeration systems.

Milk unit, where the students were informed of pasteurized milk production Process.

Paneer unit, where the students have informed packaging of paneer.

In Overall observed the Amul factory where one can see the machinery at work and how Amul products are processed and packed. On the way to the factory, you are captivated by the sight of huge milk processing machineries’ which quickly become the best feature of our entire visit.

At the end Amul Dairy offered the students one of their popular product i.e. ice cream, which the students thoroughly enjoyed.
